I remember playing Hide and Seek often as a kid, with my cousins on family gatherings.  The old farm house had lots of great hiding places.  I remember once, one of my cousins hid in an old hamper in the hall closet that hadn’t been used for years.  My other cousins and I were about to give up when we finally heard some giggling coming from the closet and finally found the hiding cousin.

I’ve also played Hide and Seek with my young grand children.  Before they got super frustrated in not finding me, I’d make some kind of noise so they could finally find me.  Then I acted so surprised that they found me.  They were thrilled.

The Word of God says we’re to seek God with all our hearts.  Even though sometimes it seems like He’s hiding from us, He’s always making a little noise, so we can find Him.Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
